TDN has an all India class A ISP licence granted by the Ministry of Communications, Govt of India, for this purpose. TDN envisions a powerful -Broadband enabled India and will make all possible contribution to make this happen.
TDN would also be building a comprehensive services framework that can deliver leading edge voice, video, IT applications and multimedia content services over any broadband or IP centric network. Such a framework can be outsourced by service providers globally, who desire to offer next generation services to their customers. TDN has engaged the best in class technology partners to build the required capability frameworks.
TDN was founded in mid 2008 by veterans from the telecom industry, who have built some of the largest networks in India for mobile, enterprise, broadband and DTH services. TDN is adequately funded by top end global investors and is committed to comply with the highest standards of corporate governance.

Founder, MD & CEO
Prakash Bajpai has a rich 31 years of experience in IT and Telecom Industry. He has been instrumental in building and leading organizations and business with revenue of more than $ 2 billion.
An engineering graduate from Delhi university, Prakash started his career with IBM as an electronics engineer. He then moved to Phillips, where he was involved in the launch of color TV transmission in India. He was one of the first few employees of Tata Telecom. His experience cuts across geographies as he worked with AT&T Network Systems in the US. Post returning to India, he spearheaded the Marketing, Sales & Network Planning activities at Tata Lucent Technologies. He then joined Hughes Telecom as President & CEO where he pioneered India's first Integrated Broadband Network in Maharashtra & Goa. He also led Hughes Telecom to launch India's first IPO (US$ 225 m) in the telecom sector. Prior to launching Tikona, Prakash was the President and CEO at Reliance Communications, where he was responsible for the Broadband, Enterprise, Data Center, PCO and DTH businesses of the company.
Prakash has also attained graduation from a number of in-house Management Programs conducted by the AT&T School of Business Management including mini-MBA in Financial Management.
Chief Technology Officer
Tarun has over 19 years of industry experience spanning in IT, broadband and digital broadcast technologies. He has successfully deployed and managed operations of many technology intensive projects including enterprise and retail broadband BSS, cutting edge Interactive IPTV over metro Ethernet network , service delivery platforms for New-age products and broadband radio access networks.
Tarun is an electronics and communication engineer with M Tech (Integrated Electronics) from Indian Institute of Technology (1990 batch).
Chief Marketing Officer
Heramb has nearly 21 years of experience in the telecommunications industry spanning enterprise, carrier infrastructure, telecom operator and broadband service provider segments.
Prior to joining TDN, Heramb was leading the product innovation and lifecycle management function for the enterprise and broadband businesses of two Pan-India telecom operators. He has a diverse functional experience covering sales, biz development, marketing, product management, innovation, service creation and customer experience processes.
He has held senior leadership positions in his previous assignments at Reliance Communications, Hughes Telecom (now Tata Teleservices), Tata Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel Lucent) and Tata Telecom (now Avaya) and has made significant contributions in building new capabilities and business units from scratch in most of his past assignments. He has a wide exposure to a number of technologies connected with Broadband and application services space. Heramb has a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering.
Chief Financial Controller
Rakesh holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Punjab University and Cost Accountant from Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI). He has 17 years of experience of which 15 years have been in the telecom industry. He has worked with various organizations - Bharti Airtel Ltd, Reliance Communications Ltd, Spice Communications, Hutchison Max Telecom and Nestle India Ltd.
Rakesh, has exposure of working in various telecom vertical - Mobile, Fixed Line, Paging, ISP Broadband, and Long distance businesses, in the areas of Financial reporting, Business Planning, Project Finance, Revenue Assurance and Risk and Compliance management.
Company Secretary
Abhijaat is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a Law Graduate from Mumbai University. His experience extends over 10 years in diverse industries like pharmaceutical, retail, shipping and real estate venture capital. His experience spans a wide range of secretarial and legal functions.
He has successfully managed rights issue, listing of securities, joint ventures, restructuring, Govt. approvals during his previous associations with corporates like Piramal Enterprises Limited, Great Offshore Limited, Trent Limited and Emmellen Biotech Pharmaceuticals Limited.
Head Compliances
A senior banker, Nagesh is an Allahabad University post graduate and MBA. He joined the State Bank of India as a probationary officer and after over two decades of banking experience - mostly in the area of credit and customer relationship, he shifted to GPPIL - a SEZ project, as Vice President Corporate Communications and later to the Reliance group in Corporate Finance and thereafter in Corporate Affairs for 4 years at Reliance Communications. Nagesh is an experienced professional having a rich industry exposure spanning banking, finance, customer relationship and communications.
National Sales Head
Yugal has 17 years of experience in Consumer Technology businesses in which he handled products such as Mobile Phones, VoIP CPEs, Wi-Fi, DECT, Bluetooth, Video endpoints and enterprise solutions such as Unified Communications (UC), Video-Collaboration (VC) & Tele-Presence.
Prior to joining TDN, Yugal was instrumental in setting up of Polycom Inc’s India subsidiary as Regional Director, India & South Asia.
Yugal commenced his career in 1993 as a Sales Engineer with TATA Telecom Ltd., (which was a TATA & Lucent Technologies JV & now AVAYA) and had several prestigious assignments including setting-up & building distribution structure for North India & Nepal. He has held several leadership roles in his assignments at PARSEC Technologies, SIEMENS India & LG Electronics.
Yugal holds a Masters degree in International Marketing Management from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
Sr VP, Sales & Marketing
Shankar has over 28 years of experience in the telecommunications industry working with telecom vendors and telecom service providers. Shankar has extensive exposure to business and technology covering Wireless (GSM, CDMA), Switching (Class 5, Class 4 Toll networks), Transmission (PDH, SDH, DWDM), Access (DLC, Metro Ethernet), Intelligent Networks, ISP infra technologies, WiMAX, IMS.
In his last role he was the National Head for WiMAX business in the Enterprise division of Reliance Communications. He has earlier worked for Lucent Technologies, AT&T, Tata Telecom Ltd and Philips India.
Shankar’s career accomplishments include :
Building the WiMAX business focused towards SMEs and Enterprises from inception, launching in Top 10 cities of India (one of the first such initiatives in the world)
Heading strategy and sales to all major telecom carriers in India (BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, Tata, Bharti etc), winning multi-million dollar contracts.
Localisation and technology transfer of transmission products to adapt to the Indian market.
Headed the Southern Region Operations for business communications to Enterprises.
Set up the entire service operations for PBX equipment in the start up phase of a new company.
Shankar has a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecom Engineering from Jabalpur Engineering College and PGCM from IIM Calcutta.
